Young Quakers believe that spirituality is central to our daily living.

Whether you are a Quaker or not, you will be welcome at Young Friends General Meeting (YFGM) – a national residential weekend held 3 times a year. All aged 18-30ish are welcome. A fun and informal chance to meet like-minded people of a similar age.

At the YFGM weekend in February, we have special sessions for enquirers, forming an Enquirers’ Gathering parallel to, and integrated with, the main YFGM weekend. So if you’re 18-30, and interested in finding out more about Quakers and Quaker beliefs and practices (or if you’re a Quaker who hasn’t been involved much recently and want a refresher), why not join us for the weekend in Nottingham from the 17th to 19th of February? You will, of course, be welcome at any of our other weekend Meetings, but there is specific support for enquirers at each February YFGM.

If you’ve never been to YFGM, but you already know plenty about Quaker beliefs, history, and so on, then you can come along to any YFGM as a newcomer. There is extra support provided to newcomers to make sure you find your feet in our community, and we are always pleased to welcome new faces.

This February (2012) we will be offering extra assistance to all enquirers and newcomers. YFGM will pay the costs of your transport to the event (within Great Britain); just bring along your train, bus or coach ticket (or other proof of cost of travel) and you will be able to receive a cheque at the weekend. Please note that we will require the actual ticket, not a receipt from the purchase of the ticket.
