Pardshaw Young Friends Centre
Pardshaw Young Friends Centre is an 18th century Friends Meeting House near Cockermouth, in the North Lake District. The building itself is simple, providing basic accommodation (on-floor sleeping, shower, drying room, wood/coal stove) and has lovely views from the graveyard towards the hills.
Organised gathering are arranged on a Yearly basis in order for you to enjoy all Pardshaw has to offer in a more effortless way, and in the company of other Young Friends and with structure for those who want it.

Bookings
You can go anytime you like! You can have the building all to yourself or group, while only costing you between £2.00 and £4.00 per person per night (children £1.00 per night), plus the cost of the coal you use for your own fires.

Gatherings
YFGM's Pardshaw Committee organise two gatherings each year, one in the summer and one just before Christmas. Summmer 2008 is Pardshaw '08, a semi-structured gathering with a chance to explore your creative side.
There will be some structured activity sessions including...
- Folk music sessions with Majk Stokes, author of the only Quaker pop song about Jesus.
- Walks to Crummock Water and Loweswater.
- Engage in musical DIY to help maintain the Young Friends Centre.
- Learn to bake bread.
- An informal cabaret on the evening of the 19th.
- Ceilidh dancing round a bonfire.
