YFGM Feb 2023

Our next Young Friends General Meeting will take place in Brighton from the 24th – 26th February 2023.

Quakers (and the Quaker-curious) aged 18-35 are warmly invited to come along for the weekend.

Our base will be Brighton Quaker Meeting House where we will live together as a community for the weekend, sharing worship, food, and company.

This weekend will feature an entertaining quiz; explorations of spirituality; a visit from the clerk of Britain Yearly Meeting, and the next steps in our ongoing process of simplifying how our community is run. YFGMers will run Special Interest Groups including sessions exploring Quaker Socialism, Godless Quakerism, and many more – including making the most of our location by getting in the sea. And, of course, we’ll have lots of time to get to know each other and hang out with all the lovely YFGMers.

Register here to let us know you’re coming ASAP by 17 February 2023. Registering in advance lets us order the right amount of food, plan sessions, and ensure everybody’s access needs are met.

YFGM is free to attend although we encourage everyone who can afford it to make a donation towards the cost of the event.

YFGM will reimburse the travel expenses for any newcomers who attend (normally up to £100 – see our finance policy). Local and Area Meetings are often willing to appoint young Friends to attend, and may also cover the costs of attending.
