Bursaries and Expenses

Young Friends in Britain cover the costs of out-of-pocket expenses incurred in attending our gatherings for role-holders and newcomers. There is also an access fund for those who need to sleep off-site; full details can be found in the finance policy.

If you require off-site accommodation in order to attend YFiB gatherings (due to accessibility needs), this is included in our bursary fund. Please use the bursary form below to submit claims for accessible accommodation.

Young Friends in Britain also offer other bursaries and hardship funds which cover:

  1. Travel to YFiB weekends and YFiB planning weekends
  2. Travel to (and fees for residential) Britain Yearly Meetings
  3. Travel to and fees for; YFiB, BYM, EMEYF, and FWCC events
  4. Other Yearly Meetings (outside of Britain Yearly Meeting) and equivalent events
  5. Other Quaker-run events
  6. Other events as specified in YFiB minutes
  7. Events and items that support the spiritual growth of YFiB and its members
  8. Accommodation at and resources for any of the above events
