YFGM is searching for a new Finance Trustee.
Our finance trustee leads on managing our finances, including preparing a budget and similar work, alongside our treasurer and other trustees. See Finance Trustee for a full role description.
It’s really important for YFGM to have someone taking on this work, ensuring that we meet our legal obligations and have the money to continue doing our events and other work.
We hope to appoint someone at our October YFGM, for up to 3 years (plus a handover period).
A great fit would be a young Quaker who wants to gain experience in charity finances and governance, and can bring energy and ideas to the role.
There’ll be support and training available to anyone who takes it on. No prior experience of finance, trusteeship, or even of YFGM is required, just a willingness to gain it!

N.B. Noms expect to meet during YFGM on 28th – 30th October. It would be helpful to have suggestions by the 23rd October (or sooner if possible!) to give us time to get in touch, particularly if the person suggested may not be present at YFGM.
As always for YFGM nominations, you are welcome to suggest yourself and you don’t have to have spoken to the person you are suggesting in advance – nominations committee will wish to have a conversation with them about the role in any case. It may be helpful to do so however, particularly if the person you are suggesting is not currently active within YFGM, and to indicate to us whether you have.
