Registration is open for our planning weekend. This event will be held in person at Cambridge Jesus Lane Meeting House (Friends Meeting House, 12 Jesus Lane, Cambridge CB5 8BA)

Join us from Friday 11th – Sunday 13th September 2026.

The weekend will focus on planning for our General Meeting of YFiB in October. Once registered (below) you will receive further information from us about the event.

Following our Spiritual Review in May, this planning weekend will have a lighter agenda than normal and will not be a strategy day. There’s no threshing form this time, if you want to submit an item to be considered for business, email clerks@youngfriends.org.uk and elders@youngfriends.org.uk. Note that October will likely only hold legally required business, and in general business items will only be considered if they are:

1) a full whammy proposal that’s ready for business

2) have a named person who will attend the event and present the item

3) have a named backup person who will present the item if the main person is unavailable.

Jesus Lane has a drop-in silence from 17:00-18:00, and therefore have asked that people don't arrive before 18:15. Cambridge has plenty of lovely cafes and parks for Friends to sit in for a while, please do utilise them! We want to provide food that everyone is able to eat - please do tell us about allergies, sensory needs, or anything else that would prevent you from eating particular foods. We will tailor our menu to the dietary requirements we have been told about by the registration deadline. All food at YFiB events will be vegetarian or vegan.

Roleholders' travel and expenses are covered for PWs. Should this not apply to you, we encourage you to contact your local or area meeting for help with the costs of attending PW, as they are often able to cover this. You might also be eligible for grants from other charitable bodies, such as Quakers in Britain. If you are unable to access such funding and still require help to attend, YFiB can offer bursary funding to cover travel and offsite accommodation if needed.
